Remembering Dan Haggerty, the Iconic Actor of “Grizzly Adams”

Dan Haggerty, beloved actor known for his portrayal of the gentle mountain man in the movie and TV series “The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams,” passed away at the age of 73 in Burbank, Calif. His friend and manager, Terry Bomar, confirmed that he battled spine cancer.

From Stuntman to Stardom

Haggerty’s journey to fame began as a Hollywood stuntman and animal handler. Serendipity struck when a producer approached him for a film reshoot, which eventually led to his iconic role as Grizzly Adams.
