On August 1, 2009, Mark Wahlberg wed Rhea Durham as his spouse. The actor got married at Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, California, after being together for eight years.
His adored bride was present at the wedding. On the big day, just their close relatives and children were present.
The couple is still going strong and has four children together now, decades later. Ella Rae Wahlberg, their daughter, is the eldest kid. Born in Los Angeles on September 2, 2003.
Mark tragically lost his older sister Deborah Wahlberg to a heart attack that same day. Her age was merely forty-three.
For this reason, the actor finds this day to be ‘bittersweet’ on occasion. Wahlberg has discussed how having an adolescent daughter might occasionally be ‘a challenge’ in recent years.
In a 2018 interview, he added, ‘It’s tough, but people say that they pass through it and they come back to you.’
She is eager to get out and pursue her interests. [There is] a great deal of hostility, attitude, and ‘You’re the worst, you ruin everything!’
The two of them appear to be closer than before, and Mark has developed a strong relationship with James,

Regarding his approach to parenting, Wahlberg stated, ‘I want to give my kids the world, but I also want them to appreciate everything,

To provide his children with a better life, the actor even relocated the family from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 2022. Regarding the relocation,
he stated, ‘This made a lot more sense for us to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player,
or my younger son as a golfer.’ ‘We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lots of opportunity here,’ he added, referring to his wife and himself.
The couple welcomed Michael, their first son, in Los Angeles on March 21, 2006. The boy’s name pays homage to his grandfather and father.
Before his son was born, Wahlberg said, ‘My dad called me Mike since I was a kid.’ ‘I think we’re going to name him Michael in honor of my dad.’
Michael has always demonstrated a love of sports, once taking up boxing. Wahlberg erected a boxing ring in his backyard in order to prepare for his
role as Micky Ward in the 2010 movie The Fighter. Even his 4-year-old kid developed an obsession with the ring at that point.
At the time, Wahlberg remarked, ‘He just punches me as hard as he can.’ He found it amusing, but I found it frustrating because I thought,
‘This kid is really starting to hit hard, man.’ His sons have now surpassed their father in height!
